Nurse Practitioner · Celly Health
Jessica Mastbergen is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner whose deep scientific roots in Biomedical Science, combined with eight years of endocrinology experience, make her a uniquely equipped clinician for complex metabolic and hormonal care. Trained at Central Michigan University and Grand Valley State University, she is passionate about helping patients move beyond reactive symptom management toward foundational, lasting wellness. Outside the clinic, Jessica recharges in northern Michigan's great outdoors — camping, hiking, paddleboarding, and practicing yoga with her husband, two boys, and their dogs Bandit and Trigger.
Jessica's clinical philosophy centers on shared goal setting and whole-person care. She believes that when patients help author their own plan, they own the outcome — and she works to shift the conversation from "what's the matter with you?" to "what matters to you?" Her focus areas include advanced diabetes management, including insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM); hormone replacement therapy for thyroid, adrenal, and reproductive health; medical obesity management from a hormonal perspective; and comprehensive preventative wellness.
A Traverse City transplant since 2013, Jessica was drawn to the area for its proximity to freshwater lakes, trails, and beaches — values that align seamlessly with her belief that lifestyle and environment are foundational to health. She is currently pursuing certifications in Advanced Diabetes Management and as a Certified Menopause Practitioner, continuing to deepen her expertise at the intersection of metabolic and hormonal medicine.
